Commission a one-of-a-kind custom wall mural in Pakistan designed around your space, story and colours. Wellcool’s artists hand-paint landscapes, cityscapes, botanical scenes, kids’ themes and brand stories on homes, schools, cafés and offices — on walls we prepare properly so the mural lasts.

Every mural is designed for your wall only
From a single feature wall to large facades
Painted on-site by artists, not printed vinyl
A mural is the most personal thing you can put on a wall. Rather than choosing from a catalogue, you work with an artist to create an image that belongs to your space alone — the mountains of northern Pakistan across a lounge wall, a Lahore street scene in a café, a forest full of animals in a nursery, or a timeline of your company’s journey in a reception area. Custom wall murals become a talking point for guests and customers and give a room a strong identity that paint colours alone cannot achieve.
Wellcool designs and paints murals for homes, schools, hospitals, restaurants, cafés, gyms, offices and public spaces across Punjab, KPK and Islamabad. We manage the whole process — design consultation, concept sketches, colour approval, wall preparation and on-site painting. Because our team also handles waterproofing and surface repair, your mural is painted on a dry, sound, properly primed wall, giving it the best chance to stay vibrant for many years.
Decorative wall art often uses patterns, motifs or smaller painted elements. A mural is a complete composed picture, usually covering most or all of a wall, with a scene, perspective, depth and a deliberate focal point. Murals require stronger drawing skills, careful scaling from a small sketch to a large wall, and an understanding of how the image will be viewed from different distances and angles in the room.
Murals can be realistic, illustrative, abstract or stylised. They can wrap around corners, continue onto ceilings, or interact with architectural features such as windows, arches and staircases. A well-planned mural takes into account furniture placement, lighting, the viewer’s eye level and the purpose of the space — calm and soothing in a bedroom, energetic in a gym, welcoming in a reception.
Our clients choose murals for many reasons. These are some of the most requested themes:
We develop the concept with you through sketches and revisions.
Damp, salts and cracks treated so the mural does not peel.
Artist acrylics and suitable wall paints for vivid, lasting colour.
Optional clear coat for washability and UV protection.
To scale a design accurately, we either draw a grid on the wall that matches the grid on the approved sketch, or use projection in low light to trace key outlines. This keeps proportions correct across large surfaces and is essential for portraits, architecture and lettering.
We block in large background areas first — sky, ground, base colours — then build up middle tones, shadows, highlights and fine details. Acrylic wall paints dry relatively quickly, allowing layers to be added the same day, and they remain flexible on the wall.
For smooth gradients, soft skies, glowing light effects and graffiti-style murals, we use airbrush and controlled spray techniques alongside brushes. This is especially effective in cafés, gaming zones, gyms and youth spaces.
Repeated elements such as leaves, patterns, logos or lettering can be stencilled to keep them crisp and consistent, then blended into the hand-painted scene.
A clear acrylic varnish protects the mural from fingerprints, light scuffs and cleaning. On exterior murals, a UV-resistant topcoat helps slow fading in strong sunlight.
We discuss your theme, references, colours, budget and the purpose of the space.
We measure the wall, check lighting and inspect for damp or cracks.
A scaled sketch or digital mock-up is prepared and revised until you approve it.
Repairs, priming and base colour to create a perfect canvas.
Outline transfer, base colours, layering, shading and detail work.
Final touch-ups, protective coat if chosen, cleanup and walkthrough.
Indoor murals are protected from sun and rain, so the main concerns are surface preparation, lighting and washability. We use high-quality interior paints and artist acrylics, and a clear coat in high-traffic areas. Indoor murals in homes, schools and offices generally keep their colours very well.
Outdoor murals face UV radiation, monsoon rain, heat and dust. For these we use exterior-grade primers and weather-resistant paints, choose pigments with better light-fastness, and apply a UV-protective topcoat. Even with the best materials, outdoor murals in strong sun will gradually soften in colour over the years, and occasional touch-ups help them stay vibrant. Before painting an exterior mural, we also check for seepage and cracks, and may recommend exterior wall protection first.
Murals are powerful in shared spaces. In schools and academies, educational murals — maps, the solar system, alphabets in English and Urdu, number lines, animals of Pakistan — turn corridors and classrooms into learning environments. In children’s hospitals and clinics, calm nature scenes and friendly characters help reduce anxiety for young patients. In parks, community centres and building lobbies, murals celebrating local culture and heritage create a sense of pride and identity.
For institutional projects we pay special attention to safety and practicality: low-odour paints that allow rooms to be used soon after painting, washable protective finishes, and work schedules that fit around school hours or hospital routines. We also help you plan content that is culturally appropriate and suitable for all ages.
For businesses, a mural is both décor and marketing. A striking mural becomes the backdrop for customers’ photos and social media posts, spreading your brand for free. Cafés often choose coffee-themed illustrations, city skylines or quirky characters; desi restaurants embrace truck art, food-street scenes and vibrant folk motifs; fashion boutiques prefer elegant botanical or abstract murals in their brand palette.
We work with your logo, brand colours and interior design to create a mural that fits your concept. Work can be scheduled at night or on closed days to avoid disrupting business. For larger branding projects, see our commercial and office wall art service.
To get the most from your first conversation with our artists, collect a few things beforehand. Take clear photos of the wall from straight on and from where people usually stand or sit. Measure the width and height roughly. Save reference images of murals, paintings or styles you like — and also those you dislike, as this helps narrow down direction. Think about the mood you want: calm, playful, luxurious, energetic or traditional. Note any colours that must match furniture, curtains or brand guidelines. Finally, consider whether you want text, names or dates included. With this information, we can prepare a concept that is close to your vision from the first sketch.
Murals are custom artworks, so each one is priced individually after we understand the design and inspect the wall. We do not quote fixed rates without seeing the project. The key factors are:

Where a mural sits and how it is lit makes a big difference to how it looks. The best walls are those seen directly as people enter a room or walk along a corridor — the wall behind a sofa, opposite a doorway, at the end of a hallway, or behind a reception desk. Walls interrupted by many switches, sockets, AC units and windows can still take a mural, but the design needs to work around these elements, sometimes even incorporating them into the scene.
Lighting changes colours dramatically. A mural lit by warm yellow bulbs looks different from one lit by cool white LED panels or natural daylight. We look at your existing lighting during the site visit and choose colour tones accordingly. For restaurants and lounges, adding a wall-washer light or a few directional spotlights can make a mural truly glow in the evening. We also consider load-shedding and UPS lighting in homes, so the mural still looks pleasant under lower light.
A properly prepared and painted mural needs very little maintenance. Dust it occasionally with a soft dry cloth or brush, especially after dust storms. For marks, wipe gently with a cloth dampened in plain water. Avoid hanging heavy frames or fixing nails into the mural area, and keep furniture from rubbing against it. Watch for early signs of dampness — bubbling, white powder or dark spots — after the monsoon, and contact us promptly so the cause can be fixed before it affects the artwork. Because we keep a record of the design and colours used, any future touch-up or extension can be matched closely. A mural is a long-term feature of your space, and with a little care it will continue to tell your story for years.
Printed wallpaper and vinyl wall decals are quick to install, but in Pakistan’s humidity they often lift at the edges, bubble or develop mould behind them, particularly on walls with any moisture. They are also limited to standard designs and sizes. A hand-painted mural becomes part of the wall itself, can be designed to any size and shape, works around windows and corners, and can be touched up rather than replaced. It also carries the character of brush strokes and artistic judgement that print cannot reproduce.

Timing depends on size and detail. A simple illustrative mural on a single wall may take a few days, while large, detailed or realistic murals can take one to several weeks. Design approval and wall preparation also add time. We share an estimated schedule once the concept is finalised.
Yes. We always prepare a concept sketch or digital mock-up, often placed onto a photo of your actual wall. You can request changes to composition, colours and details. We start painting only after you approve the final design.
Yes. We can adapt your photo, artwork or reference image into a mural design. We may suggest adjustments so it suits the wall proportions and reads well at large scale. Please ensure you have the right to use any image that is not your own.
All outdoor paint gradually fades under strong sunlight. We reduce this by using exterior-grade paints, light-fast pigments and a UV-protective topcoat. Murals on shaded walls last longer. Occasional touch-ups every few years help keep outdoor murals bright.
We do not paint murals over active dampness because the paint will bubble and peel. We first locate and fix the moisture source, treat salts and let the wall dry. Where needed, we provide seepage treatment or waterproofing before preparing the mural surface.
Yes. Indoor murals can be dusted and gently wiped with a soft damp cloth. If a protective clear coat has been applied, the surface becomes more washable and resists fingerprints. Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals that can dull the colours.
Yes. We paint educational and calming murals for schools, academies, clinics and hospitals, using low-odour paints and scheduling work around your hours. We can also suggest age-appropriate themes and include Urdu and English text where helpful.
