Calligraphy, illustration, abstract, heritage and more
Many people know they want something special on their walls but find it hard to picture the final result. They may have a feeling — calm, festive, traditional, modern — a few photos saved on their phone, or a meaningful element such as a family name, a Quranic verse, a hometown landscape or a company milestone. Custom artwork and design is the process of turning those ideas into a clear, well-composed design that fits your space perfectly, and then bringing it to life on the wall.
Wellcool offers end-to-end design and artwork services across Punjab, KPK and Islamabad. Our team listens to your ideas, studies your room, suggests styles and colour palettes, prepares sketches and digital mock-ups, and refines the design with you until it feels right. Once approved, our artists and painters prepare the surface and execute the artwork on site. Because we also specialise in waterproofing and building protection, we make sure the wall is dry and sound, so your one-of-a-kind artwork lasts.
This service is for clients who want more than choosing from a catalogue. It covers the creative and planning work that happens before painting — understanding your goals, researching references, developing concepts, choosing colour palettes, preparing scaled drawings and producing digital mock-ups — followed by professional execution on site. It can be applied to any surface we paint: feature walls, murals, ceilings, staircases, exterior facades, columns, doors and even boundary walls.
Custom design is especially valuable when the artwork has personal or business meaning: a family tree with names, calligraphy of a favourite verse, a portrait of a loved one, a scene of an ancestral village, a company’s founding story, a school’s motto, or a restaurant’s culinary heritage. It is also ideal for unusual spaces — curved walls, double-height lobbies, narrow corridors, domes — where off-the-shelf designs do not fit.
We design and paint a wide variety of custom artworks, including:
We start with your story, needs and preferences, not a template.
Mock-ups on your actual wall photo so you know what to expect.
Designs refined with you until you are happy to proceed.
Damp, cracks and old paint treated before execution.
We discuss the purpose of the space, who uses it, the mood you want, the meaning behind the artwork and any must-have elements. We also ask about colours you love and dislike, and look at the furniture, flooring and lighting.
We gather reference images and style examples into a simple mood board, helping you confirm the direction — for example, realistic or illustrated, colourful or muted, traditional or modern.
Our artists prepare one or more rough sketches exploring composition, layout and scale. This stage is about the big picture before details and colours are fixed.
The chosen concept is developed with colours and placed onto a photo of your actual wall, showing how it will look with your furniture and lighting. Revisions are made at this stage.
Once approved, we finalise dimensions, colours, paint types and finishes, and plan the execution sequence and timeline.
Discussion of your ideas, space, purpose and preferences.
Measurements, lighting study and wall condition check.
Mood board and sketches exploring the direction.
Coloured mock-up on your wall photo, refined until approved.
Surface preparation and on-site artwork by our artists.
Final review, protective coat if needed, cleanup and care advice.
Pakistan has an extraordinary visual heritage to draw from. Truck art, with its bold colours, peacocks, floral borders and poetry, has become an internationally recognised symbol of Pakistani creativity. Sindhi Ajrak, with its deep indigo and crimson block-printed geometry, and Punjabi Phulkari, with its vivid embroidered flowers, offer patterns that translate beautifully onto walls. Mughal art contributes floral arabesques, arches and symmetrical gardens; Islamic geometry offers infinite star patterns; and Gandhara and Indus Valley motifs connect to even older roots.
Many of our clients ask for designs that blend these traditions with modern interiors — a minimal lounge with a single Ajrak-inspired panel, a café wall in contemporary truck-art style, or a Phulkari-pattern border in a girls’ bedroom. We research the motifs carefully and adapt them respectfully, so the artwork feels authentic yet suits today’s spaces.
Weddings, mehndi functions, Eid gatherings, birthdays and corporate events are important moments, and painted backdrops make them memorable. We design custom painted walls and panels with couple names, dates, floral frames, truck-art themes or brand graphics for events at homes, farmhouses, marquees and venues. Unlike printed flex banners, hand-painted backdrops look rich in photos and can become a permanent memory wall afterwards. Tell us your event date early so design and painting can be completed comfortably in time.
Your custom artwork is unique and often deeply personal, so it deserves a solid foundation. Pakistani walls commonly suffer from rising damp, seepage from bathrooms and roofs, salt deposits and hairline cracks from heat movement. Before painting, we inspect the wall, test for moisture and identify any issues. If needed, we carry out dampness and seepage solutions, wall crack repair or leakage and seepage treatment first. We then scrape, fill, sand and prime the surface to create a smooth, stable canvas. This step is what allows your artwork to stay beautiful for many years rather than a few months.
Every custom project is unique, so we quote after understanding your idea and inspecting the space. Costs depend on:

The more we understand, the closer our first concept will be to your vision. Before your consultation, take clear photographs of the wall straight on and from where people usually sit or enter. Note rough measurements of width and height. Collect five to ten reference images you like — paintings, murals, Pinterest boards, photographs, fabrics or even a book cover — and a few you dislike, since both are useful. Write down any words, names, verses or dates that must appear, checking the exact spelling. Think about the feeling you want the room to have and who will see the artwork most often: family, guests, children, customers or staff.
Also tell us practical details: whether furniture, TVs, shelves or lights will be placed against the wall, whether the room gets strong sunlight, and any deadline such as a wedding, Eid or opening day. With this information we can design around real constraints and avoid surprises later.
Colour is one of the most important decisions in any artwork. We usually start from colours already in your space — sofas, curtains, rugs, flooring, wooden furniture — and build a palette that connects the artwork to the room. A limited palette of three to five main colours often looks more sophisticated than a rainbow of shades. Warm palettes of terracotta, mustard, deep red and gold feel welcoming and traditional, while cool palettes of teal, sage, grey and navy feel calm and modern. Light conditions matter as well: south- and west-facing rooms in Pakistan receive intense afternoon sun, which can make warm colours feel hotter, while north-facing rooms benefit from warmer tones. We test colour samples on your wall so you can see them in your actual lighting before we paint.
Custom designs can be painted indoors or outdoors. Indoor artwork uses quality interior paints and artist acrylics, with an optional clear coat for washability. Outdoor artwork — on boundary walls, gates, facades or courtyard walls — uses exterior-grade primers and paints, light-fast pigments and UV-protective topcoats to cope with strong sunlight, monsoon rain and dust. Outdoor walls are always checked for cracks and seepage first, and we may recommend exterior wall protection as part of the project.
Your custom artwork is designed to last, and a little care helps it stay vibrant. Dust the surface gently with a soft dry cloth, especially after dust storms. Remove marks by wiping lightly with a cloth dampened in plain water; avoid scrubbing pads and harsh chemicals. Do not drill, nail or hang heavy objects on the artwork. Keep an eye on the wall after each monsoon for any bubbling, white powder or dark patches, which may signal moisture, and contact us early so the cause can be fixed before it spreads. Light curtains or blinds help protect artwork on sun-facing walls from gradual fading. Because we keep records of your design and colour palette, future touch-ups or extensions can be matched closely. With proper preparation at the start and simple care afterwards, your custom artwork will remain a meaningful part of your home or business for years to come.
Skipping the design stage can seem faster, but changing artwork after it has been painted is costly and time-consuming. Repainting a section means extra materials, labour and drying time, and the wall may never look as clean as a first attempt. Investing in sketches and mock-ups upfront lets you make changes when they cost nothing more than a revised drawing. It also gives our artists a precise plan, which speeds up execution on site and reduces disruption to your home or business.
